A Composer, Pianist, and Musical Director

Get to Know the Owner

John has worked as a composer, pianist, music editor, and arranger of music appropriate for music theater, opera, and new acoustic music. He is interested to work with other performers, lyricists, authors, composers and conductors.

John has worked as a vocal, instrumental, choral and musical theater accompanist since 2000. He also has worked successfully as a ballet accompanist for small and large academies of ballet. These include:

  • School of the Washington Ballet
  • Maryland Youth Ballet
  • SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance
  • American Ballet Theatre Summer Workshops
  • The Ben Stevenson Houston Ballet Academy
  • and Other Ballet Studios

In music theater, he provided music direction for Off-Broadway and staged readings; for regional theater, repertory theater for children's audiences; for college theater and community theater.


As a choral accompanist, he worked for music director and arranger Leonard Lehrmann for centennial concerts of famous 20th-century composers and compositions. It includes Marc Blitzstein's radio play "I've Got the Tune" (released on Original Cast Records) and Elie Siegmeister's oratorio "I Have a Dream" based on Martin Luther King's famous speech. 


In 2017 to 2018, John was a vocal and instrumental accompanist at Cecil College in Northeast Maryland.


Since 2020, he has remained active as a composer, participating in music festivals and writing for ensembles in the US and Italy.
